Organic Awareness Month with a Spring-Inspired Dip

The month of September is Organic Awareness Month which is the largest educational campaign celebrating certified organic products in Australia. Choosing organic products means choosing products that are grown without harsh synthetic pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics and of course without added hormones. It also means the products are non GMO, completely free range, sustainably fished, pasture fed, socially responsible and biodiverse. It's a pretty amazing list right?! To think that producers out there adhere to all of this is incredible. And what's even more incredible are the results - beautiful, flavoursome produce that are as close to nature as possible. The way it's meant to be!

I was able to see first-hand how organic is done with one of my favourite organic companies, Five AM Organics. Last year I was lucky enough to visit one of the Five AM Organics farms and see exactly how the farmers do it and what organic means to them. The family I visited had everything on their farm, cows, pigs, piglets, chooks, cats, dogs and even camels! The cats helped to keep the other animals safe by way of being a natural security guard if unwanted pests got into the paddocks, and they loved drinking the fresh milk! But you guys know I love cats anyway so they were always going to be my favourite! All the cows had names that were remembered and the chooks lived in an old retro caravan on the side of a hilly paddock. Way too adorable! It was amazing to see the heart and soul this family poured into their organic farm, and the sustainable nature in which their farm and business was run.

So in celebration of Organic Awareness Month I've created an easy Spring-themed dip using Five AM Organics Greek Style Yoghurt so you can enjoy a gorgeous and truly healthy snack anytime of the day.
