This week we really felt the cold snap of Winter creeping in. The heater went on, and my woolly dressing gown made an appearance again.
Minestrone is one of my favourite comfort foods during the colder months. It's steaming hot, loaded with lots of veg, and fibre-rich lentils. I love to make my version with tortellini and a splash of fragrant and fresh basil oil.
Winter is well and truly here in the Southern Hemisphere and so is my sniffly nose and stuffy head from walking in and out of heated buildings into the ice cold air. Do any of you guys get that? It's just the worst I think!
Well Winter is well and truly here in Melbourne. We had held onto Summer for so long this year, May was so warm. Now, that is cold, my Winter stomach has been gumbling along. You know the extra stomach you grow in the cold weather? Always hungry? That's me to a tee. I definitely eat more during the colder months but that doesn't mean I can't maintain a healthy diet, and my weight.
Torino is one of my favourites cities that I have ever visited (and that number is really growing now!)
