Tahini Maple Gluten-Free Granola
I was up bright and early today packing orders for MixMe by Naturally Nutritious to post out and had a real hankering for crunchy granola. I've made this Tahini Maple Gluten-Free Granola a few times now but finally got all the textures and flavours right!
A lot of store-bought granolas are either way too sweet for me, have dried fruit in them which I don't love and can't eat very much of, very expensive, or just bland. This granola, I assure you, is definitely none of those things! The maple tahini combination is gorgeous and I only use a quarter cup of maple to keep the sugar content nice and low. You just want enough so your puffed cereals and nuts have a mouth-watering crunch to them! And calcium-rich tahini is beautifully runny so you don't need to be adding a whole jar like other recipes either, just another quarter cup!
- 1 1/2 cups puffed quinoa
- 1 1/2 cups puffed buckwheat
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup roasted almonds
