This week I'm sharing this insanely gorgeous Chargrilled Capsicum & Olive Pesto Spaghetti recipe to celebrate the launch of San Remo's new Pulse Pasta range.
Over the last week or so I’ve been testing out the brand new Abbott’s Village Bakery Gluten Free Bread range. Yes, I know what you’re all thinking – gluten free bread is the pits! BUT let me tell you, as soon as I opened this Abbott’s Village Bakery Gluten Free loaf of bread, I wasn’t just pleasantly surprised, I was gob-smacked.
I was up bright and early today packing orders for MixMe by Naturally Nutritious to post out and had a real hankering for crunchy granola. I've made this Tahini Maple Gluten-Free Granola a few times now but finally got all the textures and flavours right!
I've made this recipe a million times already, it's THAT good! I swear I'm buying up all the broccoli stocks in Melbourne! You have got to make this flatbread, the goodness of broccoli teamed with the amazing properties of turmeric mean it truly is a 'superfood'! Plus it's naturally gluten-free and full of fibre-rich ingredients.
I just got back from a week away in Tasmania and it was ahhhhmazing! Everything is so pristine there and just so fresh. The produce was out-of-this-world and I really loved being somewhere that enjoys life at a slower pace for a change, seeing as I'm always go go go!
If moving has taught me anything, it's to have your pantry organised! I had NO idea how many double-ups and bits and pieces were in my cupboards. I will say this in my defence though, the cupboards were small so I had tubs that I would put everything into and some of the ingredient bags fell out the back of the tubs and were nearly lost forever...
This week my neighbour, Mrs Marsh, had a hip replacement. She's in her 80's but she is so fit and forward-thinking. Just like my nan, no wonder they were best friends.
Anyone else love takeaway thai or vietnamese? Me! I love heading out for pho in Preston with loads of thai mint, lemon, chilli and bean shoots. It's so fresh and filling, and only $9 for a huge bowl. I haven't been able to finish one yet and trust me, I can eat!
This week there's been a few weird-weather days here in Melbourne. Even though it's summer, we went through a bit of a rainy, cold-snap and I felt like nothing more than soup. However, because it is summer, I didn't have any of the usual suspects in my fridge, like celery, pumpkin or broccoli. Luckily, I had the right handful of ingredients to make this delish Turkish red lentil soup that I learnt to make last year.
Humpday calls for treats. Well at least it does in my house haha! I had been wanting to recreate creamy, and smooth raw vegan peanut cheesecake bites like the ones I had sampled at a raw cooking class I did agggeeesssssssss ago but didn't want it to be too heavy or sweet or too dense.
As many of you who follow me on instagram know, I have been working on something so special for what seems like AGES now! I wanted you to be the first to know that I have spent the better part of the year trying, testing, photographing, and building my FIRST EVER recipe ebook! And what's better?
Recently I enjoyed a morning with Nespresso to learn about morning rituals and how to choose the perfect coffee for my morning with the help of Nespresso Coffee Ambassador Mitch Monaghan, and superstar journalist, Paula Joye.
So if I'm being honest, I can barely be bothered cooking dinner most weeknights because, like everyone else in the world, I'm tired. When I don't cook dinner, I will either have a breakfast meal like muesli and yoghurt, a toasted cheese sandwich, cheese and biscuits, or prawn pad thai from my local thai restaurant.
Go nuts for gluten free doughnuts! These little babies are so easy to make, vegan and a one-bowl wonder.
