Happy new year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful festive season and are getting back into the groove of healthy, balanced meals and a little more movement! I started my new year in Bali this year and it was absolute bliss. Think early(ish) mornings, long walks in the soft sand (great for your legs and pretty much like a foot exfoliation at the same time!), fresh smoothies for brekky, then a dip in the ocean, some beachside stretching and a walk back home. My go-to 'uniform' for my active routine has heavily featured the new Mix Apparel range now available at 740 Coles supermarkets nation-wide.
You can pick up almost the entire range for under $10 from January 4th to 29th - yes that's right, finally there's affordable, durable gym gear that teams with your usual wardrobe basics like a charm! Who'd have thought, and all while multi-tasking your weekly grocery shop! It's the perfect fit (literally) to get a healthy start to the new year.
I love the cool, breathable fabric, the not-too-low/not-too-high neckline which is ace for ladies with a bigger chest like myself, and the relaxed colour scheme. I'm also loving that I can mix and match all the pieces perfectly, and they are so soft and comfy enough to wear out anywhere, not just at the gym or to yoga. Mix Apparel is making it too easy to style yourself up whilst keeping the price down!
In addition to kicking off 2016 in my comfy Mix Apparel, I wanted to share this yummy smoothie recipe which is perfect to sip on after an active morning :)
frozen 1 tsp peanut butter
1/2 The Bar Counter Organic Peanut Butter bar
1/4 cup coconut water or milk of choice
1/3 cup greek yoghurt
1-2 tbs crushed raspberries
Blend everything except for the raspberries together until smooth and creamy
Place crushed raspberries at the bottom of your glass and pour in your smoothie
Slurp away on this PB&J delight!
