Hey friends! This week on the blog I am showing you how to perfectly boil your eggs. Boiling eggs is something I’ve always been terrible at. I leave them in the water too long or I start the timer at the wrong point and then they are wayyy underdone.

Tahini Banana Bread

If I could only have one snack for the rest of my days, it might just be this tahini banana bread. I cannot explain how DELICIOUS and soft and morish and just utterly scrumptious it is!!

As a nutritionist, I hear all the time that health is a priority, but sometimes life just gets in the way. I think that generally we all try to do our best, but sometimes we might be a little too busy or maybe we aren’t quite sure how to make our dinners healthier or maybe it seems really hard?

Introducing the Health Star Rating System

If you live here in Australia, you've probably seen packaged products at the supermarkets begin to show a star rating in the bottom corner of the packet. On some packets, there may also be a small depiction of the energy, sugar, salt and saturated fat content next to the star as well. Today I'm sharing with you a little introduction about the Health Star Rating system and why it's being introduced and used, how it has been developed and who actually provided the information for the system.

The Cheat's Way to Entertain this Festive Season

I feel like we saw the first glimpses of Summer this week, which is super exciting for those of us in Melbourne. This year so far has basically been like Game of Thrones and Melbourne has been at ‘The Wall’ the entire time freezing their butts off in the blistering cold, while every other state has enjoyed the offerings of all the other seasons!

FebFast

The start of February usually rings in the end of the festive and party season. This means you may be feeling a little less than fabulous perhaps having indulged on your holidays and attending more parties and get-to-togethers than usual. There really is no better time to check in with yourself and see where you can begin to make some positive changes to your health and wellbeing.

Red Lentil Soup

This week there's been a few weird-weather days here in Melbourne. Even though it's summer, we went through a bit of a rainy, cold-snap and I felt like nothing more than soup. However, because it is summer, I didn't have any of the usual suspects in my fridge, like celery, pumpkin or broccoli. Luckily, I had the right handful of ingredients to make this delish Turkish red lentil soup that I learnt to make last year.

Lunching Lighter With Cruskits and Vita-Weats

Did you know that more than 3.8 million Australians skip lunch thinking they will get more done? But by 12pm blood sugar levels begin to drop leaving you feeling tired and having trouble concentrating. Taking a few minutes for a light lunch helps to re-fuel your body and get you ready to take on the afternoon. Good choices for lunch are quality carbohydrates, protein, good fats and some vegetables or fruit.
